Vacancy: Sports Facility Coordinator

Job Summary

The Sports Facility Coordinator at the National Sports Institute plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sports facilities. The coordinator will proactively manage facility bookings, maintain safety standards, and oversee the usage of the sports complex by various organizations and visitors.

  • 40 hours per week, spread over 6 days, depending on scheduled bookings
  • Monthly gross salary: ANG. 2884.00

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare the sports facility for scheduled bookings, ensuring that all equipment and necessary arrangements are in place
  • Oversee the basic maintenance and upkeep of public areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and storage spaces ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness of the facility
  • Serve as the main point of contact for sporting organizations using the facility, providing assistance with their bookings and needs
  • Monitor the behavior of facility users and visitors to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and facility rules & regulations
  • Administer first aid when necessary, ensuring that all emergencies are handled swiftly and administered
  • Report repairs and handle the replacement of damaged or malfunctioning equipmentAssist with inventory control of all sports equipment and supplies
  • Ensure the overall appearance of the facility is clean, well-organized, and prepared for use at all times

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • First Aid certification (training will be provided if necessary)
  • An affinity for sports, with an understanding of sports environments and requirements
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proactive approach to tackling challenges and with a user-focused attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks and move equipment

Work Environment

The Sports Facility Coordinator will be expected to work primarily at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex and John Cooper Jose Lake Ballpark. The role requires flexibility as working hours are between 3 PM and 11 PM on weekdays and between 8 AM to 11 PM on the weekends based on the facility’s usage.
